Flexible seating is a new and exciting idea that teachers are incorporating in their classrooms. By giving students options on where to sit and how to do their work, we are providing students with the opportunity to choose a learning style that works best for them. I hope to give my students the chance to make more choices during the day and work in a comfortable and distraction free environment. I am looking to purchase yoga balls, wobble chairs, mats, and comfortable seating options that will allow my students to choose how they want to sit in the classroom throughout the day. By providing them with alternative seating, they will develop an ownership over their learning and become more responsible for their choices in their own education.
